1 tbsp olive oil
1 pound ground turkey
1 can 28oz Crushed tomatoes
1 can 28oz Diced tomatoes
Half a yellow onion
4 cloves garlic
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp Oregano
5-7 fresh basil leaves
About 2 tbsp cream cheese
Combine chopped onion, minced garlic and olive oil in a pot, cook and stirring until onion becomes translucent.
Add ground turkey to pot and cook until browned
Add both cans of tomatoes will stirring occasionally so the sauce doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot
Once the sauce begins to boil bring it to a low simmer and add basil, Italian seasoning and Oregano.
Cook the sauce for about and 45 mins to an hour
In the last 10 mins add the cream cheese and stir until incorporated.
You can add some freshly grated cheese on top if you like (highly recommended)
